I bought my Scion at February this year , lightly used (23000 kms) at ...Honda dealership and I love this car!
It was either that or Mazda MX5 and I didn't find a good Miata at this time, some was overpriced, other simply had very high mileage. Plus FRS (BRZ/86)has more space inside which makes it way more practical (well, for myself).
Being a regular driver (not ricer) I found that car has just enough horsepower for regular driving in city or at curvy highways. Of course with small 2.0 engine it doesn't accelerate as good as BMW or Lexus IS-F, but for me it's so irrelevant. Handling is fantastic though and with small turn radius it's so fun and convenient within city and on a highway.
Interior is like from the ninties , very minimalistic which I surprisingly like! Even OEM audio head unit from Pioneer looks like it belong here instead of the touchscreen. Dashboard gauges are informative and simple, just don't like the lack of oil gauge and useless analog speedometer on a left (with more precise digital speedometer at the center gauge), but ability to convert KMS and miles is awesome! (note: I live in Canada near US border). Backseats are really small and in fact there is no reason to keep them, but if you remove or put 'em down, it'll free a lot of space even for some small furniture.
Fuel consumption is little above average, in my case 10.5L per 100 km but it needs only expensive premium fuel like 94 which only local chevron stations have.
Scion FRS is my only car which makes it daily driver of course. And I love pretty much everything about it, but on other hand I don't cherish comfort as much as other people.
